c. Its business models.

Business Model is a method of doing business by which a company can generate revenue to sustain itself. One company can have several business models to operate their business (Turban et al., 2012). Restaurant Karim is a typical traditional commerce and they perform their business off-line, they only sell their physical products in their physical shop. They are consider as a purely physical organization which also known as Brick-and-mortar organization (Turban et al., 2012). 

Furthermore they are a company that uses Sales model (which is one of the Revenue model), sales model can be defined as a company generate their revenues from selling their products and services (Turban et al., 2012). Restaurant Karim’s revenues are totally come from the foods they are selling daily. Their concerned are only focus on the foods and services they provide to the customers which can fulfil customers’ satisfactions, because these are the main sources of income they can manage to increase their revenues. Therefore sales model are used by Restaurant Karim as their business model. 

Furthermore, they are practising Value proposition as their business model. Most of the Restaurant Karim’s customers are students and night shift workers, basically these are the target markets of Restaurant Karim. Most of the students and night shift workers are often go to bed late and will having meal (supper) during late night, they are also price-sensitive in preferring low price foods. Therefore value proposition have been applied, in order to satisfy customers’ needs they serve customers by providing a 24 business hours to make convenient for those night owl to having their meal in late night and also charging reasonable lower price without GST as compared to other similar restaurants to reduce the burdens of students and workers (Turban et al., 2012).


In addition, Restaurant Karim is also using Viral Marketing as their business model by assisting in some university fund raising activities to create awareness of their shop (Turban et al., 2012). Those organizer of the activities will help the shops who had provided some sponsorships to promote their shops and products by posting the information of the shop around the campus and spread over the social network.
